According to Fox News, Mara Gay said nothing about the size of the flags. I’m pretty sure Charlotte Clymer added that part in to go “I don’t hate the flag per se! Just people who are too patriotic!”

It’s funny how woke folks like Clymer went “Colin Kaepernick wasn’t disrespecting the country!” (he was, he said so) and now they’re going “whoa, you shouldn’t be too proud of your country!

And some of them were going “well, if you respect the flag, why aren’t you following the Flag Code? Hehehe checkmate.”

I’m surprised that it took them so long to brand the American flag with the scarlet letter “W” for “white supremacist”, considering how even classical music, cottagecore, and Tolkien got the same treatment much earlier.

Looking them up, it doesn’t look like she ever actually went into combat. 

They joined in 2005, and then got sent to Arlington to serve as the old guard there until 2012, after which they went to go be a help desk clerk at a holocaust museum for a few years before going to college to finish school. 

Yea, she was in the army, but bringing up the ‘i’m a veteran’ as a blanket term is kinda disingenous when she’s never actually set foot in combat, and was instead just part of the group that organized funerals and stood in front of the tomb of the unknown soldier. 

So she’s an REMF, at best?

I say this with already very little respect for the military or the people who serve in it, but if you actually served in the military, combat or not, and you hate the US, then you’re dumber than a stack of rocks. Serving in the military is like the penultimate way of showing your support and faith in this country outside of maybe being president which is an unlikely goal for most.

How many god damned times have I heard the phrase: “I fought for that flag” repeated verbatim by hundreds of veterans, for one of them to come out and say “Yeah actually the flag is cowardly and racist but I still fought for it lol” has got to be one of the biggest forms of self-projection I’ve ever seen. Teachers could use this woman’s empty skull to teach lessons on a screen.
